Cheesy, crunchy and delicious, these broccoli sprout poppers are as popular with kids as they are with adults. Serve them as a healthy after school snack or with pre-dinner drinks.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 cup Broccoli Sprouts
- Sprouts 1/3 cup cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 eggs
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, extra
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Steam broccoli florets until soft. Place in food processor with all other
- ingredients except extra breadcrumbs. Process until mixture is smooth.
- Spread extra breadcrumbs over a large plate. Roll broccoli mixture into
- small balls, then roll in breadcrumbs.
- Place poppers on a well oiled oven tray and spray with extra virgin olive
- oil. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve with tomato salsa or aioli.
